| Abstract | In today's globalized world, cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue have become important. International cultural relations, implemented by international organizations aim to increase cultural awareness among national audiences. One approach to achieve that is the bottom-up approach, that involves local communities and individuals in promoting cultural exchange, empowering them to share their culture and fostering a more inclusive and diverse cultural landscape. This research utilizes qualitative methods to investigate the effectiveness of the bottom-up approach, focusing on the Street Carnival project as an example of how it can promote cultural diversity and understanding. The results of this research prove that the bottom-up approach encourages personal understanding, empathy, and breaks stereotypes and prejudices through projects like Street Carnival. It plays a crucial role in international cultural relations by promoting diversity and dialogue, empowering individuals, and building bridges between nations for a more peaceful world. |
