Abstract
The dataset entails data frames from transcripts of 25 interviews conducted with smallholder farmers on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, to understand the motivations for applying indigeneous and local knowledge (ILK) in different farming practices within the Chagga homegarden - a traditional, pre-colonial farming system. It contains socio-demographic information, knowledge acquisition and transmission methods, and framing practices.
