Our procedures
You submit your research data with the descriptive information using the appropriate submission form, concluding an archiving respective publication agreement.
Your data will subsequently be reviewed by MIZ regarding the technical, legal and formal compliance with the PubData Collection Policy for research data. Insufficient data sets will be rejected in rare cases, open questions and adjustments will be discussed and clarified. At last, the data is enriched with additional metadata.
After this curation, all validated data is, in principle, stored in the Leuphana archiving system, access protected and in accordance with the Leuphana Archiving Guidelines for Research Data, listed as a metadata record in the PubData catalogue and provided with a Handle (ID).
Additionally, the research data and materials submitted for publication are registered and made available as download under a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) according to the access and usage conditions you have chosen. The catalogue records are also disseminated to other (meta)catalogue systems for better findability and visibility.
Authorised Users
The publication service and the archiving service are free of charge up to a data volume of generally 5 terabytes per person. Both services are personalised on the basis of the legal agreements to be concluded in the submission process. The services address to all Leuphana employees and researchers from cooperation partners contractually associated with Leuphana University. Owners of a Leuphana account are already authorised to use the service.
External use of the service is possible for publishing purposes only, after a validated registration process and in consultation with the PubData team.
The terms of use for the archiving and publishing services are manifested in the PubData Collection Policy for Research Data (→ Downloads).
