Reuse & Share

All publications on PubData are freely accessible worldwide via the PubData catalogue and can be downloaded directly. This page provides information on how PubData publications may be used.

Interested in using publications from PubData?

Publications made available on PubData can be downloaded free of charge. The extent to which others may reuse these works – for example, by copying or adapting them – depends on the license selected by the authors. There are two types of licenses available: Use under Copyright and Creative Commons licenses. The selected license is displayed next to each downloadable file and includes a direct link to the full license text outlining the permitted uses.

Use under Copyright

Publications under this license may be downloaded, saved, printed, and cited by others. However, further distribution, public display, or commercial use is not permitted unless explicitly authorized by the rights holders. You can find the full license text here.

Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons (CC) licenses expand the permissions granted under copyright law. They allow third parties to share and reproduce publications, provided the original source is credited. Some CC licenses also permit adaptations (e.g., translations) and commercial use. On PubData, authors can choose from six different Creative Commons licenses, which must be respected by anyone reusing the content. More information about Creative Commons licenses is available here. The selected license is displayed on the publication page next to the downloadable file and is linked to the full license text, which outlines the exact scope of permitted use.
