Abstract

The 21st International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) Conference, held at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, from 18 to 20 September 2025, focused on the theme “Education and Entrepreneurship: Ecosystem Value Creation for People, Organisations, and the Environment.” The conference examined entrepreneurship not simply as venture creation, but as a broader process of education, learning, capability development, and ecosystem formation. It positioned entrepreneurial learning as a multidimensional phenomenon shaped by institutions, policy, culture, technology, and social relations. Across keynotes, panels, and presentation sessions, a consistent message emerged: effective entrepreneurship education must be embedded in supportive ecosystems and linked to wider social and economic development objectives.
