Abstract

This anonymised dataset originates from the GAMIFY Knowledge Alliance and contains excerpts from reports analysing 26 expert interviews with innovation managers and specialists from six European firms experienced in using gamification for innovation. Conducted between June and October 2019 in Germany, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands, the semi-structured interviews explored innovation challenges, experiences with gamified formats and the perceived future potential of gamification to support innovation management. Participants were selected for their first-hand organisational experience with gamification and active involvement in innovation processes. Interviews lasted approximately 45 minutes. The interview data were coded and aggregated, and subsequently used to derive for the publication "Management guidelines to address cultural challenges and facilitate values-based innovation through gamification".
