Describtion of variables:

site_name: trivial name of sampling site
lat: latitude (geographic coordinates)
long: longitude (geographic coordinates)
site_short: unique site identifier (same as in Winter, 2005)

Coordinates represent the center of the sampling sites. These coordinates were used for the extraction of environmental site variables
